  • What is Dog Parkour?
    Parkour is a physical sport about moving through the environment and conquering obstacles. It can include climbing, balancing, jumping, crawling under, going around, creativity and partnership. Nicknamed urban agility, Parkour can be a challenging fun journey. Parkour can be done anywhere and is only limited by your imagination!
  • Are there competitions?
    In keeping with the true spirit of Parkour as exploration, it is a non-competitive sport. There are many titles available to achieve recognition.
  • What if I have a puppy, senior, or physically challenged dog? Or if I'm not so athletically gifted?"
    Parkour is as mild or wild as you make it, so it's the sport for you. It's great for confidence building, conditioning, and body awareness. Titles are available specifically for puppies and seniors with no jumping required. Medical exemptions are also available.
  • Why choose Parkour?
    Parkour encourages communication and teamwork with your dog. Even if you already have a great relationship, working together can deepen your bond. Parkour builds confidence, body awareness, and conditioning. Parkour also teaches impulse control and can be mentally challenging. A great way to give your dog something to do on a rainy or hot day while indoors is to work Parkour techniques. After a Parkour session dogs are satisfied and relaxed. It's adaptable to all ages and skill sets. Plus dogs love it! Parkour can make your walk an adventure so your dog is never bored, even in a short session.
  • What will we learn in class?
    All the foundation skills for the Novice Level will be introduced. Most importantly, the human team members will learn about safety, spotting, how to assist dogs on and off obstacles. Dogs will be introduced to a variety of skills and exercises to succeed in this dynamic sport. All teammates will practice good techniques for a future of fun.
  • Do I need any special equipment?
    No! That's the beauty of Parkour. You'll learn to see the world in a whole new way. Parkour is all about exploring natural challenges. Water bottles, trash cans, trees, and signs can all be a part of your Parkour adventure. It can be convenient to use a well-fitting harness as you progress.
  • How do I sign up?
    New Clients Click "Register" at the top of the page * Enter all personal and pet info * Click "Book Now" * Click "Group Classes" * Choose your Parkour Class please scroll down to the bottom of each page to ensure you complete the registration process. You will recieve an email after completing the reservation prosess letting you know your request has been received by The Hounds Grounds Exsisting Client click "Login" at the top of the page
